Today (19 Dec 2024), Air Chief Marshal Dr Itthaporn Kanchanacharoen, Secretary-General of the Medical Council, spoke about the issue of Professor Emeritus Dr Amorn Leelaratmi, as Chairman of the Special Investigation Subcommittee, who wrote a letter to the Chief Physician of the Police General Hospital to request additional information regarding the treatment of Mr Thaksin Shinawatra, with important issues regarding the transfer of a patient from the Corrections Department Hospital to the Police General Hospital and treatment that may involve medical ethics on 16 Dec 2024. He said that the investigation process is still in the evidence collection stage, in accordance with the Medical Council Regulations 2020, which stipulates an investigation time frame of 180 days and can be extended if necessary.
