Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports 1 Thai person dead, 3 injured in Vanuatu earthquake

Today (19 December 2014), Mr. Nikorndej Plangoon, Director-General of the Department of Information and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), reported progress on the earthquake of magnitude 7.3 in Vanuatu on 17 December local time and an aftershock of magnitude 5.5 at the same spot, resulting in landslides, severe damage to buildings and the temporary closure of Port Vila International Airport due to damage to the runway.
